VOLUTE reinterprets the Telecaster®-style bridge through a deliberately asymmetrical architecture.
This asymmetry gives it an immediately recognisable identity, but it was not born from an aesthetic intention. It results directly from the way the saddles, their springs and their adjustment mechanisms have been arranged.

Balance through asymmetry.
On a three-saddle bridge, intonation adjustment requires each saddle to occupy a different position.
On the VOLUTE, the geometry of the bridge body follows these different positions in order to maintain the springs within a controlled operating configuration.
The springs rest against dedicated ramps, whose geometry guides their positioning and accommodates their compression throughout the saddle adjustment range.
The visible asymmetry of the VOLUTE results directly from this architecture.
A difference in form that first and foremost responds to a difference in function.
Guided saddles.
The saddles do not simply rest on the surface of the bridge.
Grooves machined directly into the body of the VOLUTE guide their movement during intonation adjustment and help maintain their positioning.
This guidance keeps each saddle aligned with its axis of movement and contributes to the overall control of the mechanical assembly.

True Radius Technology™
The three saddles are designed as E/A, D/G and B/E pairs. Each pair has a specific geometry adapted to its position on the bridge.
They are both compensated for intonation adjustment and pre-radiused to 9.5", allowing them to naturally reproduce the fretboard radius while retaining a full range of adjustment.
This design allows the saddles to operate within a more natural geometry. The string guide ramps maintain their orientation, mechanical stress on the strings is reduced, and adjustments become more repeatable.
Why design a saddle that is intended to be systematically tilted when it can be designed to naturally sit at the correct height?
Two string-loading configurations.
The VOLUTE is available in two configurations: Top Load, with the strings loaded directly through the bridge, and Through Body, with the strings passing through the body of the instrument.
Both versions retain the same architecture, the same saddles and the same adjustment principles.
Comfort in the details.
The geometry of the VOLUTE has also been designed with hand contact in mind.
The contours, angles and exposed surfaces are carefully radiused to provide a more natural and comfortable feel, particularly when palm muting.
As always at FAUVE, these details are not intended to draw attention. They simply contribute to the coherence of the whole.
Fully machined from solid material.
At FAUVE, every component is fully machined from a carefully selected solid block of material.
This approach ensures complete control over the geometry of each component, high dimensional precision and excellent manufacturing repeatability. It also provides the design freedom required to create shapes, radii and details that cannot be achieved using traditional manufacturing processes.
Each material is selected for its mechanical and vibrational properties, as well as its suitability for precision machining. Every removal of material serves a purpose. Nothing is left to chance.
